Description:

A three-drawer commode from Central Italy, dating back to the late 17th century. The structure is entirely crafted from solid walnut. The front features three drawers, veneered in rich walnut burl and defined by geometric reserves bordered with light wood inlays, which create an elegant chromatic contrast with the grain of the walnut. Each drawer is fitted with escutcheons and two drop handles.
The front structure is flanked by molded spiral columns that run along the uprights and integrate into the base, which is raised on shaped and pierced feet. The surface reflects the masterful cabinet-making techniques of the period, with a clear distinction between the sturdy construction of the sides and the sophisticated decoration of the front.

Interventions carried out on all our furniture:

– Structural restoration: repair of small missing parts, filling of any cracks on the back panel, consolidation of deteriorated areas, and inspection/repair of the hardware.
– Thorough anti-woodworm treatment.
– Cleaning and sanitization of the interiors.
– Exterior finish with natural beeswax.
– Interior finish with shellac, a natural alcohol-based varnish.

Customizations:

Upon request, it is possible to agree on:

– the desired level of restoration;
– customization of the interiors (addition of hanging rails, shelves, dividers, etc.).
