The “Tre Cime of Lavaredo” – Arno Lemke

CODE: QM169
Work dimensions: 70 x 80 cm
Technique: oil on canvas
Period: 1950s

A suggestive view of the Tre Cime di Lavaredo, portrayed from Lake Antorno, also visible on the canvas. Lemke’s style is unmistakable: the exaltation of chiaroscuro emphasized by a skilful technique that alternates the spatula with the brush is a constant in his production. His predilection for the Dolomite crags, the skies full of clouds with glimpses of light, so frequent in the high mountains, make him one of the most appreciated painters for immersive paintings.
