In this painting the mixture between the naturalist style deriving from the Munchner Schule and the new expressionist currents that developed in Germany at the beginning of the 20th century is clearly visible.
In this case, notice how the shadows of the mountains are not made with the colors black and gray, but with shades of blue and light blue.
