Oil painting on canvas depicting a wintry mountain landscape, a work by the German painter Alfred Weczerzick (Herischdorf 1864 – Berlin 1952). The composition portrays a vast snowy view, characterized by sloping hillsides and fir forests covered in snow arranged in the foreground and along the ridges.
In the lower right section, a group of deer moves along the edge of the woodland. The chromatic palette favors cool, natural tones, played on gradations of white, gray, and brown, illuminated by the diffused and golden light of the clear sky hovering over the background peaks. The work is enclosed within a period gilded frame.
