Description:
Antique chest in painted fir wood, with predominant brown tones rendered in faux marble. The front is divided into a sequence of arched panels with blue‑green backgrounds, each decorated with floral motifs. At the centre appears the date (1801), accompanied by a personal name, following the tradition of bridal and dowry chests in the Alpine regions. The shaped lower section features two painted panels with a green background and white ramage motifs. Geometric borders are painted along the sides and on the lid. Inside, the typical side compartment is well preserved, used historically to store small valuables safely.
The surface shows a uniform patina that enhances the character and authenticity of the piece.
