Description:

A luxury antique painted chest made of fir wood, dated 1807 on the front.

The structure features a rich forest green background color and is framed on the front by three arched panels. Each niche encloses, against a light backdrop, a stylized polychrome floral motif painted in warm shades of red, black, and ochre.

The lower band displays an inscription hand-painted in red paint, containing the “1807” date and the original initials of the maker or owner.

The side panels are decorated with light-colored recessed panels, geometric borders, and stylized curvilinear motifs. The top lid showcases two large rectangular panels adorned with botanical decorations, enhanced by a beautiful natural patina.

Restoration works carried out on all our furniture:

– Structural restoration: repair of small missing parts, sealing of any splits on the back panel, consolidation of weakened areas, and thorough inspection/repair of original hardware.
– Careful anti-woodworm treatment.
– Cleaning and sanitization of the interior.
– External finish with natural beeswax to highlight the rich patina.
– Internal finish with shellac, a natural alcohol-based varnish.
