Description:
Beautiful painted chest, dated 1727, rich in patina and character.
It is one of the oldest chests in the gallery and it is quite rare to find painted furniture from this era, because fewer were produced, just think that the first Tyrolean furniture appears towards the end of the 17th century.

In this era the motifs and also the colors are different from the classic decorations. In this case we do not have a background color, but the motifs are painted directly on the wood. The flowers appear more stylized and the colors used are limited to red, black and dark brown.
On the front there are the classic cups containing tulips and ramages, in the lower part, softly shaped there is the date: 1727.

On the sides the motifs even recall the ‘600 with the large baroque scrolls, dark brown.
In these pieces of furniture you can always find beautiful locks, hinges, blades, latches, forged by hand and of high quality.
An example of this is the lock of this chest, still working, after about 300 years of history.

Antique piece of furniture full of character and patina.
