Painted Tyrolean wardrobe dated 1809
SKU: A190
H. 175 – L. 114 (130 on the frames) – P.54 (62 on the frames)
Beautiful painted wardrobe, with one door, with notches.
The background is entirely painted with a “false veneer” motif that recalls the cabinet-making processes of the time.
On the door, shoulders and notches there are many boxes containing the date, floral motifs, apotropaic symbols, ramage decorations and faux marble on a predominantly baby blue background. The upper transom, just below the cornice, hides a large secret compartment. Inside, three movable shelves divide the useful space (it is possible to customize the interior, for example with a coat hanger pole)
Furniture not yet restored, original and working hardware.
