Description:
Antique painted wardrobe featuring particularly interesting decorations: the entire surface is adorned with a motif that replicates wood veneering, arranged in a herringbone pattern across four sections, in shades of light blue and beige.
On the sides and mouldings appear the classic intertwined “Maria Theresa of Austria” motifs, finished in a faux‑marble effect in pale red and blue.
On the door, two panels depict tree‑covered hills. Just below the upper cornice runs a band containing the only floral decorations, together with the name of the first owner and the date of construction.
The overall chromatic effect is very delicate: a piece capable of warming any home interior with elegance and sobriety.
Inside, the original shelf is still present, along with the half‑depth shelf located just below the top of the wardrobe.
Beautiful, original and fully functional ironwork.
Partially restored piece; the interior layout can be customised.
