Description:
A painted chest in solid Swiss stone pine, featuring a lower drawer and a shaped plinth base. The front fascia is defined by raised molded framing dividing five distinct recessed panels. The two main central panels, set against a vibrant blue ground, feature polychrome floral motifs depicting bouquets of roses and tulips tied with a white ribbon. It also bears the original owner’s name or dedicatory inscription alongside the date of creation, “1853”. The three vertical dividers, set on a warm brick-red background, display elegant ramages in white tones. The lower section houses a prominent visible drawer with faux-grain decoration and a light blue ramage connecting two original metal knobs. The interior retains its original natural pine finish, complete with an internal side till and lid.
