Description:

A single-door cabinet, with canted corners, entirely crafted from painted spruce wood, dated 1801 on the top cornice. The item features a warm, matte blue-azure background, upon which polychrome floral decorations are elegantly displayed.

The front is dominated by a single framed door, divided into two primary quadrangular panels. Each inner panel showcases a dark background framed by intricate thread-work and brick-red corner ornaments, within which symmetric compositions of flower bouquets, garlands, and stylized corollas in shades of red, white, and ochre unfold. The upper section bears a dedicatory inscription in red cursive, accompanied by the 1801 date.

The top cornice is defined by a striking projecting molded edge, enhanced by a light-colored frieze decorated with continuous floral vine motifs and buds. The lower section houses a removable drawer, consistent in its decoration with symmetric ramages on an azure background, inserted above a molded plinth that profiles the entire base of the piece, resting on bun feet. The canted sides echo the same background tone, enriched by isolated vertical floral bouquets that lighten the piece’s geometric volume. The hardware features original wrought iron locks and keys.
