Description:

Figurative sculpture depicting a bison, executed in bronze. The animal is shown with its head lowered and the weight of the body projected forward, a compositional choice that conveys a sense of restrained strength and controlled movement.

The rendering of the coat is more animated in the frontal area, where the mass of the fur is defined by a more irregular and pronounced modelling, while the rest of the body features smoother and more continuous surfaces. The dark bronze patina, with subtle tonal variations, helps to highlight the contrast between the different textures and enhances the volumetric reading of the figure.

The sculpture is set on a rectangular dark marble base.
