Description:

Set of four Art Déco chairs dating back to the 1920s–30s, made of solid wood veneered in flamed walnut with inlays in bois de rose and boxwood. The structure is solid and well-proportioned, featuring precise craftsmanship that enhances the natural grain of the wood.

The backrest has a slender silhouette with a central panel shaped like a Spade symbol, serving both decorative and structural purposes. This element is veneered with flamed walnut and outlined with bois de rose inlays, bordered by a very fine boxwood line. The lateral curvature of the backrest uprights follows the ergonomic shape of the chair, offering both comfort and a strong visual appeal.

The seat is removable, composed of a wooden board with padding and covered in vertically striped ivory and beige fabric, consistent with the style of the period and in good overall condition (with some minor stains). The front legs, shaped in a reversed sabre style, and the slightly inclined back legs add elegance to the composition while ensuring structural stability.

Overall, this is a set that fully reflects the Art Déco aesthetic: clean lines, understated elegance, attention to detail, and a refined use of precious woods.

Restoration information:

Our workshop ensures a conservative restoration process for each piece, preserving its authenticity and structural integrity. Every item undergoes a careful treatment to ensure stability and hygiene.
Specifically, the restoration process includes:

Structural repairs to ensure durability
Deep anti-woodworm treatment to eliminate any infestations
Internal cleaning and sanitization
External finishing with natural beeswax or shellac
Internal finishing with shellac (a natural alcohol-based varnish)

On request, we can customize the level of restoration and adapt the internal fittings (clothes rods, shelves, etc.) to your preferences.
